New trial shows MDMA could be used to treat alcoholism

A recent trial exploring MDMA-assisted psychotherapy confirmed the effectiveness of MDMA in treating alcohol addiction. The study found participants consumed 18.7 units of alcohol per week in the months after the trial, compared to 130.6 before.
